On March 9, 2012, I made a commitment. I committed to help improve the living standard for people thousands of miles away from me, and step fully into my vision of a life led by following my heart.
On May 22, 2012 I will be headed with a group of like-minded volunteers, to help build a clean drinking water storage system for a village near Cusco Peru, for whom water access has become a problem. While there, we’ll be working in service, absorbing ancient spiritual wonders on a trek to Machu Picchu, and expanding our capability to shape our own communities through time spent under the guidance of powerful traditional shamans.
I have the additional honor of channeling support that you may feel called to contribute, to this important work. The journey is not cheap, because we’re providing all the materials and engineering costs, in addition to our labor for the village. My cost for the journey is $5,000. I’ve saved and scrounged, and come up with $2,400 of my own personal finances, and over the next 10 weeks, I’ve commitment to raising the remaining $2,600.
It’s important to me that this whole journey is about being of service, and strengthening my attunement to my inner compass, so I’m not just asking for money. I’m using this time to pursue a variety of different ways I can contribute to my own community here, to generate the funds I need to contribute in Peru. I’ll be hosting several different events and personal services throughout March and April, and writing a book about the journey to inspire others to action and provide some guidance about fundraising and international volunteerism.
The $2,400 I’m contributing of my own money will completely cover the aspects of this journey outside of the service component, so all money I’m raising goes directly to the service of others. My $2,600 goal will cover the costs of my portion of the construction project ($1150), and transportation expenses to be able to actually get there to do the work($1450). All funds raised will also be supporting the creation of the book I’m writing about this service journey, to inspire and encourage others to be the change they wish to see in the world.

I intend to serve as a way-shower for my community here to be uplifted and contribute to a better life for others in need. I believe our society critically needs people stepping into this role, and I need your help.
With love and gratitude,
